Activator Applied
Activator Applied is a series of modules developed by DCMi and delivered by clients. Each module reinforces and extends key concepts, and includes slides, a challenge, reflection questions, and discussion prompts. Activator Applied modules work alongside the standard group coaching sessions post-workshop to help embed new habits.
Session 1: Creating a System
This first topic Creating Your System; is focused on keeping track of your contacts and ensuring that you are spending the right amount of time with each and don’t inadvertently allow contacts to become cold.
There are two major parts to how Activators manage contacts: first, prioritizing contacts into different levels and setting goals for frequency of contact/tracking against those; second, understanding the role a given contact might play (if they are a prospective client) and equipping them properly to drive consensus.
Identify your top 50 contacts, those that belong in the first two levels of your pyramid, using the Contact Management Template. [Link] For the top 10 clients/decision makers, identify their mobilizer profile.

Reflection Questions
The following reflection questions below are meant to guide your learning and understanding of this week’s focus.
-
What did you learn about your top clients? What do they have in common (besides obvious features like your specialty industry)? What does that tell you about your ‘ideal’ client?
For how many of your closest contacts do you have a cell number or WhatsApp so you could contact them in multiple ways?
For how many contacts did you recognize that you did not have the relationship you thought you had?
What is your system for maintaining this list in the future? How often will you review and refresh it?
What would you do to make the system fit into your weekly cadence?
-
How easy or hard was it to identify mobilizers in your clients? Identify any contacts where you could use help figuring out if someone is a mobilizer or a talker
Are there any individuals where you’ve been stuck in the ‘friend zone’? What will you do to get back out of that situation and regain momentum? Or is it best to turn your attention to other clients?
Did you have any blockers at key prospects or clients? How are you going to work around or through them? Or should you reprioritize them?
Are there organizations where you are not well-housed with a mobilizer? How can you get introductions or work through your contacts to expand your relationships?
